Have any suggestions on how to improve the forum, or requests for new features?
Put them here!

Hmm. Two things, perhaps, though both of them minor. The first is a design thing — the blue text in the footer of the website really isn't very legible on the crimson background. Can that be tweaked without compromising the rest of the theme? Secondly, regarding the rules — Doctor Who writ large counting as “off-topic” is how it should be; we don't want discussion of Beep the ruddy Meep clogging up the main areas. Should, however, an exception not be carved out for those stories directly connected to the FP mythos? It strikes me that discussion of something like Taking of Planet 5, if focused on the War in Heaven elements, wouldn't be exactly off-topic. The exact boundaries (does every EDA with Sabbath count? does Wintertime Paradox?) would, of course, be left as an exercise for the moderators, as a line must be drawn somewhere, but as the Faction would tell you, let's not throw the baby out with the birthday.

Can that be tweaked without compromising the rest of the theme? This one is just an oversight on my part - blue is the ProBoards default, and I had just neglected to change it in every case where it appears. Should be fixed now. Secondly, regarding the rules — Doctor Who writ large counting as “off-topic” is how it should be; we don't want discussion of Beep the ruddy Meep clogging up the main areas. I'm glad you brought this up as well, this is another oversight of mine. I've updated the rules. Basically, stories which directly link to Faction Paradox are considered on-topic, but stories which don't connect in any sense other than being part of a series which has previously crossed over with FP are not. I hope the wording in the rules is clear here. The distinction between on- and off-topic subjects gets a bit blurry when we discuss related series and really, I'm not worried at all about, say, someone making a thread to discuss the War King's possible origins and someone else making a reply which references a particular Doctor Who character who may-or-may-not be the same character. The main thing the rule is there to prevent is, for instance, someone just blatantly making a thread in the Eleven-Day Empire to discuss something like one of the BBC New Series Adventures.

Eh, I like black on white, though mileages may vary. It's more inkeeping with the aesthetic and easier on, (at least my) eyes. The white backgrounds could be replaced with parchment but that's beyond my mockup skills. If so then the, "New Posts" skull icon would have to be a different colour, (probably red) as the official website yellow symbol variant's colour doesn't show up all that well. If anyone's wondering the, "Rememberance Tank Edition" subtitle is a reference/injoke to the fact this is the second iteration of the forums. How about a thread in fanart section for people to stress test their ideas?

Scheme suggestion mockup This is really nice looking! Would you be able to send me the images you used for the board icons? Eh, I like black on white, though mileages may vary. Likewise, I tend to prefer black on white, but I understand that everyone will have a different preference. I believe there's a way on ProBoards to give users the option to choose between a "Light" and "Dark" theme for the forum. If I can, I'll try to make a black-on-white equivalent to this theme pi9090 put together, so users can have the option to use either black-on-white or white-on-black, with at least some aesthetic cohesion between the two options. How about a thread in fanart section for people to stress test their ideas? This is a good idea. Done.

This is a minor complaint because I could just click allow temporarily, but is there any chance we can get this redirect setting turned off? my ad blocker doesn't like clicking off-site links

Unfortunately it's something ProBoards imposes on all its forums, so we can't fix it in settings.

Scheme suggestion mockup I'm a bit late here, but I've tried to make the forum look a bit better, thank you PI9090 for the suggestions and for the helpful images. There is also now a dark theme, which you can access by going to your profile and then settings.

It can be disabled by adding
factionparadox.boards.net##^script:has-text(vglnk)
to your adblocker filters, e.g. My Filters in uBlock.
