I thought it would be fun to have a thread about the most complicated FP universe characters where we try to simplify their stories.

Rasputin is a trifle complicated. He was replaced before his death at least twice and had loyalty to three factions in the War, once by Faction Paradox who extracted him to the Eleven Day Empire, leaving behind a duplicate who was primed to accept any War-time powers' offers and did so from the Celestis who would resurrect him upon death. The Great Houses noticed all this meddling and replaced Rasputin again, taking the original replacement out of time. Said fake Rasputin upon his actual death was recorporated by the Celestis and was stabbed and bludgeoned and shot. Upon being dumped in the river, it's last words were Thank God in the language of the Great Houses. Now to simplify. The duplicate of Rasputin left behind after Faction Paradox kidnapping the original, had loyalty to both the Celestis and the Great Houses and was thus zombified and driven insane.

He's even more complicated when you consider the additional canon details of the Meddling Monk driving him insane at earlier point by playing Ra Ra Rasputin and Chibnall's... thing.

Yeah, and the Evil Renegade finding Rasputin in the river and refusing to save him.

Compassion is quite complex I think. Human to a force beyond the Homeworld's reconning
