I'm a DnD head, so recently I've been trying to wrap my head around the "new wave" of RPGs, which are usually called "Powered by the Apocalypse" (PbtA) and such. And with how closely The Book of the War already resembles a RPG sourcebook, every time I play a new game, I find myself wondering (for instance) "Could the Wanderhome system be adapted to Faction Paradox?" The answer, more often than not, is "Yes, with some effort!" Thankfully, we don't have to start from scratch. The owner of Curufea.com has done some pretty expansive work at adapting various roleplaying systems to the Faction Paradox universe. - "Powered by the Paradox": an unfinished PbtA-style Faction Paradox game! This one shows a lot of promise in particular. Just needs the guidebooks to be fleshed out. Pretty awesome!
- Amber Diceless Roleplaying adapted for Faction and Doctor Who, including rules for fitting FP into Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space and for fitting Who, FP, and The Minister of Chance(!) into the delightfully-named Lords of Gossamer and Shadow.
- Not Curufea, but it's worth noting that our predecessors had some good games of BotW-inspired "Mornington Crescent" in the "Academicians for Game Logic" section!
Have you had any thoughts for a Faction Paradox game?

I've had a read of some of "Powered by the Paradox" and it sounds pretty cool. I'm definitely going to have a more in-depth look and maybe try and run a game at some point. I only wish my regular D&D group were at all open to trying non-D&D 5e games.

I've not dice roleplayed for a while, (4th and 5th ed.s have put me off and Critical Role hasn't helped, though some of the third party conversions look interesting). Of what we have so far the .D.W. .A.I.T.A.S. would seem to be the best option for quickly establishing a game that would generate more interest. They have been used by The Game of Rassilon podcast for at least a one Faction member companion. Would there be any interest in an oneshot session to test it out?

Thanks doctornolonger for referencing this topic in another thread, I'm glad there's an RPG conversation going on! One of my all-time favorite RPG systems is the West End Games D6 system, predominantly used for Star Wars. The original edition of Star Wars plus some later generic D6 books helped show me how easy it can be to hack for some things I'm nostalgic about from the 80's, like GI Joe and Transformers. I was able to jury-rig it for Robotech for a couple of actual play sessions. This is my major go-to. Although, the current Cubicle 7 version of Doctor Who is something I would be interested in trying to make work for FP. It seems simple, the newer 2nd edition has been streamlined to be even more simple, and it seems to work well for broadstrokes stuff that the newer version of DW does; which makes me think it is excellent for FP. The Time Traveller's Guide suppliment has a lot of material to do with Time Lords and other things related to time travel, and time travel powers. There's extensive material about customizing a TARDIS, so maybe it would work well for customizing a 103-Form Timeship. It has details for creating characters that are "Scions of Gallifrey", people like River Song who mutate into a Time Lord-ish human, or Jack Harkness as a walking, talking fixed-point-in-time. This seems like exactly the kinds of characters who would manifest during a time war or in a post-war version of the FP universe. Interestingly, I read somewhere that Cubicle 7's early drafts of the DW RPG were somewhat similar to the WEG D6 system I mentioned above. This might explain why I like it a lot. I actually like the Time Lord RPG, which I dabbled with a lot a couple decades ago. I ran one session that was going to be adjacent to Doctor Who and Faction Paradox, but as happens often enough, didn't get beyond the first session.
