While reading the Book of the War, one thing I kept noticing was the use of various Native American tribes as tools of the various War Time Powers, and I was curious to see; does anyone know who wrote those entries? Is the author of those entries actually part of the Native Tribes mentioned, or is it simply some really unfortunate 2000's era racism? Reading those entries in The Book made me very uncomfortable since I wasn't sure who'd come up with it, especially with them usually just being referred to as generic "warrior tribes".

I think it was just generic 2000’s racism. The section about the Ainu are massively inaccurate, for a Strat they don’t have when we would conventionally call god. Of course this is probably a narrative choice to reflect Hollywood at the time, but when you are familiar with the cultures of both you can see the inaccuracies and the prejudices more clearly. Of course it is interesting that the Ainu got a mention at all. And that the Ainu where referred to as the Indigenous People when they where not legally recognised as such until 2014 (I believe )

Kelly Hale is the one who wrote much of those sections, and is herself part Native American. At least according to our section on this on the wiki.
