The Great Houses: The following are records of some of the Great Houses. It should be noted that House fashion although consistent across the Homeworld, is subject to any number of changes as time is written and rewritten. House Xianthellipse: imgur.com/xYjUyi8I felt house Xianthellipse should be sleek and black and shiny always came to mind. As well as a glowing purple. House Mirraflex: imgur.com/a/HAUT8VdI borrowed a classical Homeworld colour scheme for Mirraflex. Felt appropriate. House Lineacrux: imgur.com/enrB4NBI think I was watching Blackadder II and my caught Queen Liz's collar and I thought, that's it. Lineacrux's style is bespoke and ornate. The environment is what I imagined in Brakespeare, a vast empty space filled with marble columns. House Tracolix: imgur.com/OpMIysLI think I pulled this palette from Court Proceedings of A Homeworlder, you can see Tracolix's ally in the background. House Meddhoran: imgur.com/yrKwAgEI know they don't have the blinders on I never liked how I made it look. Somewhere in Against Nature I think Primo describes the robe as a "pilgrim's dress". I wanted it to look protective, the high collar of the Houses folded in. House/Faction Paradox: imgur.com/WqSHnDSI remember Sonorous once told me that he imagined a Faction mask that was all distorted from being pulled into a world it doesn't belong in. I decided to have a lot of variety since I think that speaks more to the Faction's aesthetics. |

Mirraflex, Lineacrux, Tracolix and Meddhoran's looks all remind me of those 90s Star Wars comics that are set millenia before the movies, like Jedi vs Sith and Tales of the Jedi. You've retained that Homeworldy look seen in Evil Renegade, but evolved the look in different ways for each house, great stuff! |
