I had somehow managed to convince myself that we were skipping back to Anastasia next. Oh well. Only another couple of months!

Reckon if I start now, I can still catch up? I mean, I know all time is. Nothing but an illusion, but I'm still only human, at the moment.

Okay that's good. I haven't been reading any entries over the past three weeks on account of being in Vancouver without my laptop or computer to access the forms.

I've just seen this through a link elsewhere by chance. I love tBoTW but haven't read it in years nor ever read it in that special order. I'll try and catch up when I have time.
I hadn't realised the book of the war was rare these days. I have one of the special limited edition ones (think there were 10 or so) where you could pay extra to have the book illustrator do an extra one off ilustration, so mine has one of Godfather Sabbath on the first page.

Wow, that’s really cool! Could you share a photo of that first page?

I don’t mean to push but I have noticed that we have fallen three weeks behind? Is their any reason for this? Once more I do not mean to push I am just curious?

I don’t mean to push but I have noticed that we have fallen three weeks behind? Is their any reason for this? Once more I do not mean to push I am just curious? I assumed it was because the discussion (and let's be honest, our reading) was falling so far behind the week we were supposedly on. But nobody said that, I just assumed.

By all means, please push! 😅 garyshots has the right of it, at least in part: a desire to give PPH's AMA offer more time as the stickied post, amid our lagging reading pace; the demands of holiday travel; and an abortive attempt at automation. Since we're (mostly) all asynchronous at this point, I figure there's no point trying to string them along, so I'll be catching up and posting the missed threads today!

Seeing as we are coming to the end I propose a continuing book club prehapes moving on to one of the other books or audios prehapes reading one of the EDA’s I don’t know if this is a stupid idea but I think and expanded loom at the Miles’s world would be rather interesting, a chapter (or two) or audio a week. I don’t know.

Maybe Adventuress or Dead Romance? Or if we move beyond Miles, what about Newton's Sleep? I like the historicals, and quite frankly I could do with a kick up the arse to finally start the books I never got round to and reread the ones I was too stupid to understand the first time.
All that said, I doubt I'm going to finish The Book before February now. I want to go backwards before I go forwards again. And I've already been inspired to start rereading Alien Bodies independently.

I'd suggest maybe the Obverse Anthologies? A Romance in Twelve Parts has some sublime stories, all of them incredibly thought provoking and apt for an in-depth discussion. Short stories would be good for the time being, the full-length novels would work better when we've gained more of a userbase on here in my opinion.

Any further book club should start from the beginning with, "Christmas on a Rational Planet". It's the best way of trying to figure out as much as possible by tracking it's development as we can siince Mr Miles is both unwilling and unable to explain his own creation.
